Indiana Radical, Reactivity and Ozone Production Intercomparison (IRRONIC)
Measurements of OH, HO2*, total peroxy radicals (HO2+RO2), and total OH radical reactivity were measured during July, 2015 at the Indiana University Research and Teaching Preserve (IURTP) field laboratory near the Indiana University Bloomington Campus. Additional measurements of NO, NO2, O3, anthropogenic and biogenic VOCs, and rates of ozone production were conducted. The goals of the project include 1) an informal intercomparison of peroxy radical measurements by two different techniques, 2) an analysis of ozone production sensitivity at this site, 3) a comparison of measured OH radical reactivity with that calculated from measured VOCs, and 4) a comparison of measured OH, HO2, RO2 radicals, and ozone production rates with model predictions.
